Getting Serious
Not even a week has gone by, yet, so many amazing things have happened in my life. I attribute all these opportunities to the Lord and Him leading me down this path. All of the credit and glory are to and for Him.
I figured I would start writing brief blog entries to keep people in the loop about how God is working in my life, namely, when it comes to art. My hope is that you can revel in my journey of becoming a more established professional artist, a business owner, and a soon-to-be college graduate alongside me.
Despite the fact that I have always had an enthusiasm for creating art, it is only this week that I have set my sights on really pursuing art as more than just a hobby. Yes, I have illustrated books and have done commissions. However, I saw those more as things you do from the goodness of your heart, or “heart projects”, as I like to call them. Why the sudden change to become more serious about vocational art? Well, it popped into my head 10 days ago when I spontaneously sent out an email to an art studio in my hometown. Just one, unprompted email later, and the next thing I know I am showing my parents the inside of my own art studio.
